Carron Dam Upstream Face
Carron Dam is 400m long overall with embankments extending 140m each side of a 120m long central concrete spillway section.
The embankments were protected with in-situ concrete revetment panels which required strengthening.

An alternative using a 250mm thick OSA overlay offered considerable savings both in terms of cost and duration.
Overall 2,000m2 of new revetment was installed in 3 weeks including a stop whilst Storm Ali passed through.
