Ardsley Reservoir Spillway
During an extreme flood event studies & modelling has shown that the volume of water flowing down the dam’s spillway may exceed its capacity resulting in out-of-channel flow.
The works were to supply & install approximately 500m2 Open Stone Asphalt (OSA) erosion protection to protect the embankments each side of the spillway channel.
Topsoil will be placed over the OSA to allow grass to establish to give a more acceptable appearance to the erosion protection.
